Expedited Passport Processing Guidelines for Kenyans

Kenyans seeking to fast-track their passport applications can now take advantage of the streamlined procedure recently introduced by the Directorate of Immigration Services.

In a formal announcement made on Thursday, May 25, the Directorate issued comprehensive guidelines to assist individuals in making expedited passport requests.

To ensure prompt processing of passports, Kenyan citizens with urgent needs can employ various communication channels such as Twitter, email, or phone to submit their requests.

“To expedite your passport processing, kindly get in touch with @ImmigrationDept, furnishing documentary evidence of the urgency. Call our hotline on +254 110 922 065 or the Call Centre on +254 110 923 423. You may also reach out to us via WhatsApp at +254 796 347 902 or email us at info@immigration.go.ke,” stated the Directorate.

Additionally, applicants can personally visit the passport section at Nyayo House, where they will find a dedicated customer care desk at counters 16 or 17.

The Directorate of Immigration Services has expressed its unwavering commitment to serving Kenyans and facilitating the expedited processing of passports. The statement reiterated their dedication to fulfilling this responsibility.

This development comes only a month after Professor Julius Bitok, the Principal Secretary of Immigration and Citizen Services, announced that the government had received a supply of over 100,000 blank passport booklets. He assured the public that the passport processing backlog would be cleared within 21 days.

With the implementation of these new guidelines, Kenyans can now look forward to a smoother and more efficient process for obtaining their passports promptly.
