FKFPL Round 29 Fixtures: Gor vs. Muhoroni, Tusker vs. Kakamega

The 29th round of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) is set to take place on Sunday, with eight matches scheduled across the country. This promises to be an exciting day of football for Kenyan fans, as the league’s top teams battle it out for three crucial points.

At Muhoroni Stadium, league leaders Gor Mahia will take on Muhoroni Youth, hoping to extend their lead at the top of the standings. Gor Mahia currently sits four points clear at the summit and will be looking to widen the gap further if rivals Tusker FC fail to secure a win in their match against Kakamega Homeboyz at Ruaraka Grounds.

Tusker FC recently stumbled against Nairobi City Stars in Round 28, and they will be under pressure to perform at home against Kakamega Homeboyz if they want to remain in hot pursuit of the record Kenyan champions. However, Tusker’s task may not be easy, as Kakamega Homeboyz are known for their tenacity and could spring a surprise upset.

Meanwhile, AFC Leopards faces high-flying Nzoia Sugar at Nyayo Stadium. Nzoia Sugar has been in fine form recently and is currently on track to overtake Tusker in the standings. However, Patrick Aussems, who is the coach of AFC Leopards, hinted that he will be saving some players for the Mozzart Bet Cup, which could give Nzoia Sugar an edge in the match.

Before Tusker’s match, Posta Rangers will play KCB at Ruaraka Grounds in one of the two early kick-off fixtures of the day. The game was initially scheduled to take place at Thika Stadium, but a late change of venue and time saw the match brought to Ruaraka.

The other double-header of the day will take place at Kasarani Annex. Mathare United will play Bidco United in the early kick-off fixture, followed by Sofapaka taking on Kariobangi Sharks.

Ulinzi Stars will host Nairobi City Stars at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, hoping to close the gap on the top five. Lastly, Bandari will welcome Vihiga Bullets at Mombasa in what promises to be an enthralling encounter.

Overall, Sunday’s league fixtures are set to be a thrilling spectacle for football fans across Kenya. With teams battling it out for crucial points and standings shifting constantly, the FKFPL continues to be one of the most exciting football leagues in Africa.
