Safaricom, the prominent telecommunications giant, has announced its scheduled maintenance system, which is set to commence from 11pm on Saturday, May 20, and conclude at 4am on Sunday, May 21, 2023.
In an official public statement released on Friday, the company emphasized that several services will be temporarily unavailable throughout this designated timeframe. Among the affected services are the PayBill and Buy Goods Lipa Na M-Pesa facilities.
Additionally, the following services will also be inaccessible during the maintenance period: M-Pesa Business to Customer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B), the Daraja Portal, all M-Pesa APIs, the M-Pesa organization portal, the dealer portal, and the Lipa Na M-Pesa portal.
Notably, the maintenance will result in the temporary closure of services such as International Money Transfers (Western Union) and M-Pesa Global, as well as the M-Pesa App and Safaricom App.
Furthermore, M-Shwari, KCB M-Pesa, M-Kesho, the Hustler Fund, the Fuliza New Limit allocation, Pinless Top-up, and loT services will also be affected by this maintenance operation.
The statement explicitly mentioned that all other services, including calls, data, SMS, and remaining M-PESA services, will remain operational as usual.
