Zarinah Hassan, who is popularly known as Zari Hassan or Zari the Boss Lady, is a socialite, musician, and entrepreneur hailing from Uganda. She currently resides and conducts her business operations in South Africa. Zari, who was born on September 23rd, 1980, spent her formative years in Jinja, Uganda. She is of mixed Ugandan and Indian heritage.
After completing her studies at Jinja Girls High School, Zari pursued her passion for music by performing karaoke at various bars in Kampala. Subsequently, she spent two years in the United Kingdom before returning to Uganda in 2000. She later moved to South Africa, where she met her former husband and fell in love with him.
Zari’s ex-husband reportedly earns over Ush700 million every month from his various businesses across Africa. Despite her ex-husband’s will stipulating that she would receive half of the monthly income, Zari reportedly takes home Ush350 million per month, amounting to her estimated net worth of $9 million.
Zari’s business interests are mainly concentrated in South Africa, where she owns a cosmetic store, a five-star hotel, a real estate firm, and The Brooklyn Schools, a tertiary education institution. Additionally, she continues to pursue her music career and has released several songs, including Oliwange, Hotter Than Them, and In Love With The Dance Floor.
As a symbol of her immense wealth, Zari owns several luxury vehicles, including a Mercedes Benz E 250 CDI, an Audi Q7, a Range Rover Sport HSE, and a BMW X6.
Zari has been involved in some controversies, particularly concerning her previous relationship with Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz. However, the two seem to have resolved their differences and focused on co-parenting their two children.
